chuck season 03
Finally! Chuck's return announced, and here's a preview
Holy Chuck! It's about time. NBC has just announced that our favorite secret agent series, Chuck, will return for a two-episode, back-to-back premiere on Sunday, Jan. 10, 2010, at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Sunday, you say???
Well, actually the series then moves into its old timeslot, Mondays at 8, the next night. The week before, a two-hour Heroes will air on Jan. 4 and then move to 9. We think we're having more than a little deja vu.
So what can we expect from the new season, beyond a double dose of Chuck to start with? How about action Chuck Bartowski, now that he has downloaded the Intersect 2.0 into his brain?
Yep, the geek from the Geek Squad will now be equipped with kung fu and James Bond moves. There's only one little problem, according to the NBC press release: Chuck's emotions. Col. John Casey (Adam Baldwin) and Sarah Walker (Yvonne Strahovski) return as Chuck's handlers. And, of course, Sarah is still the girl of Chuck's dreams.
Here's a preview of season three to hype you up for some extreme Chuck 2.0 action.
We're also in store for a bunch of guest stars, including Law & Order's Angie Harmon as an enemy operative; Superman Returns' Brandon Routh as CIA agent Daniel Shaw; Terminator 2's Robert Patrick as a spy from Casey's past; and Smallville's Kristin Kreuk, who becomes a little competition for Sarah when it comes to Chuck's affections. We'll also see Judge Dredd's Armand Assante, WWE's Steve Austin and Snatch's Vinnie Jones this season.
After Chuck's producer had begun, NBC ordered additional episodes of the series, bringing us up to 19 episodes to look forward to. We're glad NBC has confidence, but we didn't have any doubt that more Chuck is always better.
So, are you ready for some Chuck 2.0??
